Workshop Terms & Condistions

I understand that every situation is unique, and I am happy to review and discuss these terms if you have any specific requests or concerns. My goal is to provide the best experience for you and ensure a smooth and enjoyable workshop.​​

1. Payment Terms

A 30% deposit is required to confirm the booking, with the remaining balance due within 15 days of workshop completion. This helps Folded Forests maintain timely service for all our clients. If payment is not received by the due date, a 2% late fee will be applied to the outstanding balance for each additional 15-day period the invoice remains unpaid. We kindly ask that you settle any late payments promptly to avoid additional fees.

2. Participant Numbers

• Decreases in Numbers: We are unable to accommodate a reduction in participant numbers within two weeks of the workshop date, as preparations and material costs will already have been incurred based on the initial booking and quote.

• Increases in Numbers: We may be able to accommodate an increase in participants, subject to material availability. Additional charges will apply for any increases in numbers.

 

3. Changes to Date or Time

If you need to change the date or time of your workshop after booking, I will make every effort to accommodate your request. However, due to prior commitments, I may not be able to accommodate changes. If the workshop is within 14 days of the scheduled date and I am unable to adjust, the deposit will be retained.

 

4. Cancellations

If you cancel your booking, the full deposit will be retained unless ample notice is given and no significant preparations or material costs have been incurred. During busy seasons or periods of high demand, the full deposit will be retained to cover the lost opportunity. If you cancel within 48 hours of the event the full payment will be required

 

5. Liability, Health, and Venue Damage:

Participants should follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided during the workshop to avoid the risk of injury. All participants attend the workshop at their own risk. Folded Forests are not liable for any damage to the venue or personal belongings, except where such damage is caused by our direct negligence.

6. Recording/Photography Policy:

As a small, independent art studio, I love sharing the creativity and fun from my workshops! By booking, you’re giving me permission to take photos or videos of the event to help promote my business on social media and other marketing platforms. If you'd prefer not to have content captured, just let me know, and I’ll happily respect your wishes. Rest assured, any photos shared will only be used to showcase the wonderful experience of the workshop and promote your business in a positive light 

 

7. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for cancellations due to events beyond their control, including natural disasters, illness, or government restrictions (Force Majeure). In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule the workshop or find an alternative solution.
